The agreement was signed yesterday by Defence Minister Dr. Ajay Kumar and Japanese Ambassador Suzuki Satoshi.

The agreement will provide a framework for close cooperation between the armed forces of India and Japan on the reciprocal provision of supplies and services as part of bilateral training between the armed forces of India and Japan involved in United Nations peace operations, international humanitarian aid and other concerted activities.
